In the Beginning

I am a photographer.  For many years I have been a professional portrait photographer, I have won awards and the respect of many for my art. )You can view my website here http://everlastingmomentsphoto.webs.com/ ) But for me, winning awards and making money isn't what it was about.

I think I was born to be a photographer.  Beyond all the cliche nonsense of seeing life through a lens, photography speaks to me, it captures my heart.  It is how I express my views to the rest of the world. It's the subtle things that make me excited about photography, not the big spotlights.

For me, photography isn't about making money, I think that's where real photography got lost.  Too many people picked up the camera and said, "Here's a quick way to make a few bucks."   That isn't photography and those people lack passion.  Photography is about telling a story, showing emotion, or describing a place.  Photography is always emotional and from the heart.  At least that's how I see it.

For about two years now I haven't been taking as many pictures and I've been quite miserable about it. I have so much I want to say through my pictures and I won't hold back anymore.

I will share my heart with the world.  I will share the stories and the emotions.
